Eh, ok I was plenty happy with The Fellowship of the Ring last year and greatly anticipated the second installment. After seeing it I feel somewhat betrayed. The general quality is there once again, and the cast does a good job, but some of the deviations from Tolkien's text in this one just don't make sense. Question for Jackson, "with only three hours for this film, why are you adding bogus plot lines?" Some of these additions are outright contradictions to Tolkien's story. If anyone has the director's mailing address for me, I need to send him a copy of the text.
