middle earth bound This avid Tolkien reader was overjoyed by Jackson's work on this first piece in the trilogy. While there were some obvious deviations from the text, most of the story is quite true to Tolkien and the spirit of Middle Earth is well rooted in this film. A good story, exciting action shots, and beautiful settings make this a winner even for those who haven't read the books. Can't wait for "The Two Towers."
