Morality in Question Supposedly Denzel Washington won an Oscar for his performance. I have seen better performances, not to say he was bad just that he was amazing. True acting comes from being realistic and much of that is being emotional. Denzel’s character is very two dimensional, i.e., no growth. The rookie grows throughout the movie. This movie brings about morality. Do the police ever need policing? Too bad reality is not like the movies. In the movies, there is some sense that good wins after all. The truth is that on earth sometimes evil triumphs, for awhile. It is sad to imagine that a training day would turn out like this. This is an amusing movie with violence, brief nudity, and some language. Otherwise this movie really does not strike me as the best.
