This reminds me of Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew� in that there is a female named Kate who cannot get along with anyone, but that is where most of the similarities are found. I found the acting and romance rather mechanical and I could not believe that the Kate was over 21 years old. Frankly, she looked barely old enough to date, but perhaps I am just feeling old and set in my ways. If you enjoy figuring skating, there are a number of laughs and some wonderful skating, otherwise this film is a waste of time. There is no passion, no romance, no acting, no purpose other than skating.
