This is a great introduction to the Powerpuff Girls. I never knew how these girls came into existence now why they were so attached to the professor until I saw this movie. I could see the enjoyment for children with all the wild characters. Adults will enjoy the many play on words. I have not seen the TV show so I cannot say how the movie compares to the TV show. The mayor of Townsville reminds me of the man from the Monopoly game. The colors are very coloring book like (i.e., there is not much shading). As for cartoons, I still prefer Disney’s “Hercules� and “Animaniacs.�
