This film could probably be broken into three segments. The first part is the supernatural part with trying to bring out the ideas of life after death. The second part gives a sense about spookiness with lots of flickering lights and darkness. The last part is more action oriented and makes the movie worthwhile to see. I feel that the title is a copout and could have been better and more imaginative. I feel that the last part of the film was beautifully shot. Kevin Costner does a fantastic acting job, as always. The writing was a bit predictable at times, which makes this film not as thrilling as I would have liked. However there are some great special effects. The movie is trying to convince the audience that there is something that occurs after death and that the dead can communicate with the living.
