The 20s were boring. Have you seen the 1998 Camille Claudel? Yeah? Use your imagination to move the scene to Mexico City, and drop the subtitles for a slight Mexican accent. Frida is another tiresome rehash of the tragic genius. All on its own I might have felt different, performances are good and the story is interesting enough. Enough though, is enough already. I have seen too many of these.
