This movie describes the making of a romance through the eyes of an African-American male from North Carolina surviving in California. I am thinking “The Wood� is just to simulate the words “the ‘hood.� The movie flips between junior/senior high school and the preparation for a wedding. I found that the wedding part was boring and a waste of time. The acting in the school age parts was really good. I felt like a child again, plus there is also some good comedy in it too. This movie just did not really have a point and it seemed that by not having the main character having the wedding, the wedding part just seemed added on to have a longer movie.
