The Way Life Is

This is a powerful look at the various shades of hatred and racism. At times this seemed like a documentary and other times like a moving drama. I was stunned at the end of the movie with not knowing what to say or do. This is just how life is. It has outstanding cinematography, and the soundtrack adds to the mood. There are a number of disturbing scenes, but that is the nature of hatred. I feel that this movie demonstrates how subtle hatred flows through everyday life, and only when things become extreme do we really challenge our assumptions. It is a slice of America that not all of us get to see, but we should not forget that it is there. The acting is superb. This is an overall excellent movie. However the title is sadly lacking and does not do the movie justice.
