This movie is timeless. No wonder I have seen this on video in so many people’s homes. The music is outstanding, but of course Mozart was awesome anyhow. The cinematography and costuming were very convincing. Fahrid Murray Abraham does an amazing job as the cunning Antonio Salieri. Tom Hulce plays a very handsome Mozart. I have seen this movie 3 or 4 times and it is not tiresome with each time. The director’s cut does add in a dog scene which the edited out in the movie, which I agree adds nothing to the story.
