It seems that there is at least on film version of a Shakespeare play every year. It could be thinly veiled or 'modernly updated', but in looking at IMDB, this certainly seems to be true.

This one stars Ethan Hawke as our troubled young prince. Kyle MacLachlan and Bill Murray are also in it. A zippy, modern update with practically no noticeable changes in the original prose. As such, there's not much being revealed. The famous soliloquy is delivered with a high tech spin.

Not as enjoyable as Romeo+Juliet (Baz Luhrman); but if you haven't watched any version of the play in a while, this one is all right.
