There's a bit of formula in here, being the irreverent, mocking tone where everyone seems overly sincere about trivial things, and more serious things get the sitcom treatment.

The plot here is so much on the surface that the movie has to live or die entirely on the humor alone. There are some good bits, but much of the humor can be seen a mile away once we're past the initial setup.

What more can there be to say? I don't want to give away what little there is of the plot. The acting is very straight-on - neither bad nor inventive, which might actually be the right thing for this kind of movie.
