Shorn of pretense Tepid, ignorable musical opening, followed by two ignorant idiots bumbling through a plot vaguely centered on their need to get back in the good graces of their girlfriends.
Is this, like, a remake of Bio-Dome, dude? How many stupid similarities can two films have and not be related? Sure, there's differences, like being trapped in a segregated environmental experiment versus tracking down the whereabout of a vehicle, but it really doesn't matter. The two movies actually compare favorably with each other, if not against much else out there. Bio-Dome actually tries a little harder, with mixed results, while Dude is true to our expectations all the way through, with no surprises, but at least a vaguely respectable self-consistancy. In the end, what's the point, though? It's a shame to waste money on either.
