Show, don't tell I'm not a huge fan of the western genre, but there certainly are good entries in the field, films like True Grit and El Dorado, films that can stand on their own merits.
Gunfight at Comanche Creek has a good premise, dealing with undercover agents investigating a bounty scam. From there, things just go downhill. Maybe, I'm missing some subtleties here specific to westerns, but this film simply is bad filmmaking. There's an entirely too intrusive narrator, which basically signals a poorly developed script. So many details here could have been portrayed in the acting. And many of the possible moments not covered in the narration simply don't exist. We've been robbed of being able to experience the story.
