Avoid if over 8 So they nailed the Seussian look of the film, and the general nonsense from the book. But stupid, spastic nonsense does not make for a film. At best, it makes for an uncomfortable afternoon with a family acquaintence, not something that the world should be exposed to.
But sure, the young ones will enjoy this kind of humor. That's fine and good, and perhaps you can call the film successful in that way, but there's no real appeal for anyone else here, which the best of kids films do have.
