the truman show, but truman knows

I caught this one for a second time on late night cable. It was a pleasant movie, and if you haven't already rented it then it's worth those few dollars.

Matthew McConaughey plays the common man who gets a shot at being famous when he decides to allow his daily activities to be filmed and constantly aired live on tv. With today's heavily manufactured and edited reality tv shows it's actually a little refreshing in its spin. There are some funny moments caused by the blurring of watcher/actor for the participants in Ed's life. Woody Harrelson make a good match as the brother (they even look like brothers), and there is a decent supporting cast. It settles in as a light romantic comedy, held aloft by the relaxed charm of McConaughey.
