Tarantino makes a movie for himself
This was one of the worst movies I have seen in the last few years. In the constant work of form versus content, QT went off the form deepend with this picture. I'm told it was in large part an omage to eastern influence that's respected by Tarantino. I'd say he should leave this work to those he wished to mimic. There was a mish mash of samurai ways and super saturated pop culture, with a dash of gore and other genres which didn't play well and muddied the already choppy story.
Quentin took a well intentioned gamble for which he deserves some credit, but I won't be seeing volume II intentionally.
