Needs Better Execution Rather than spoil the plot, I'll just say that the material is interesting, challenging, and somewhat existential. This is a tough mix for a first time writer/director/producer, and it shows. The film shows many of the hallmarks of quick low budget filmmaking - poorly thought out and uncreative angles, clear marks and timing for the actors, simply awful flashbacks, and a soundtrack that borders on grating (some of the music choices work out alright, though). There is a claim that a quarter of the dialogue was improvised, of which I'm not sure what to think, considering the script seems to be the strongest ingredient in this stew. Really, what we have is an excellent premise, a good script, and poor execution from there out.
